FIT Energy Solutions can provide analysis of a facility’s energy usage and provide guidance on implementing measures to reduce consumption and generate savings. The analysis is divided into three steps:
Initial analysis using Energy Unit Index (EUI) – This is a basic overview of the facility’s usage based on total consumption of energy and square footage. The facility is compared with other facilities of similar size and usage. This is a basic benchmarking of the facility to evaluate the potential for energy reductions. This analysis only requires energy billing information and building square footage |
Initial Site or “Walk-through” audit – If there is potential demonstrated in the initial analysis, the next step is to do a site visit to the facility and analyze the operation of the facility for obvious savings opportunities. Based on the analysis some basic Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) can be suggested for possible implantation. FIT does not charge our clients for the analysis to this point.
In depth or “Investment-grade” audit (IGA) – At this point in the process there has to be commitment by our clients to the process. As the IGA generally involves a substantial amount of time and effort, there is a fee involved to perform this service. If a project is implemented, or the energy estimated in the second phase is not validated, then this fee is either waived or covered in the total project cost. The final project viability is based on the results from the IGA. FIT can assist you with any level of auditing and help benchmark and reduce your facility’s energy consumption. |
