Recommissioning

Over time a facility’s operational settings and parameters will change. The changes can occur due to parameters being over-ridden for comfort, the building use has changed, or scheduling that has degraded to a constant occupied mode. A periodic check on the facility’s operation is often the most cost effective way to reduce the facility’s energy and operating costs. The analysis of the operation can encompass a basic check of the operation to a full recommissioning of the facility. Recommissioning starts with the development of the owner’s current requirements and a review of the existing design. After the criteria have been established, FIT will analyze the operation of the facility and compare it with the established criteria.
Periodic recommissioning at any level, from a basic check to a full in-depth recommissioning will result in increased operational efficiency and reduced energy consumption. |
